FEES

Patients can self-refer. A patient can also obtain a referral from his/her General Practitioner. If the patient’s General Practitioner prepares a Mental Health Treatment Plan, the patient may receive up to 10 sessions per year that receive rebates from Medicare. Fees may also receive a rebate through private health insurance.

The Australian Psychological Society’s recommended fee is $300 per session. At this Practice, the Fees per session are from $280 to $300. Each session lasts for 50 to 60 minutes. Formal assessment attracts fees of $300 per session.

REBATES​

Medicare provides a rebate of up to $136.35. Rebates may be higher. In addition, rebates are also available through private health insurance.

FEES FOR PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

Fees for medico-legal assessments and other assessments can be obtained upon an enquiry being made with Dr Susette Sowden.  Examples of assessment include:

• clinical assessments

• forensic assessments for criminal matters

• educational & developmental assessments for learning difficulties and giftedness

• intellectual assessments and assessments of memory

• psychological assessments for developmental difficulties such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

• parenting capacity assessments
